My Starboard motor was running great until yesterday.  Started the motor after re-fueling from a day of fishing and saw antifreez dumping out the exhaust. I quickly shut it down and putted back to slip with one motor.  After she cooled down, with my limited mechanical skills, I started to attempt a diagnosis.  Pulled the air filter thinking turbo gasket, nothing; pulled dipstick nothing unusual there; puller the sea water discharge hose off the heat exchanger and started motor, antifreeze poured into the bucket.  This is where I stopped.  Now the questions:

    1. Pressure test the heat exchanger?
    2. How do I know if the head gasket or block cracked is the issue, no visible signs of anything outside leaking?
    3. Before I fill the shopping cart with unnecessary parts, what are my next diagnosis steps?

I’m rather anal about checking gauges, temp and pressures were great on the ride in.  I did not pump out all the antifreze.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Mike

The heat exchanger is the only place on the engine that seawater and coolant run side by side.  Pull the heat exchanger and figure out where the breach is.
