After a several month hibernation, I ran the boat this weekend and noticed what appears to be an oil pan leak on my port engine. Probably about a half of a shot glass worth of oil running at 2400 for 30 minutes and 1300 for 4 hours. Interestingly it also looks like the something up at the front of the engine (crankshaft pulley maybe) was slinging some oil against the water heater… a slight spray of dark oil. I haven’t taken the cover off to look at the front, but any ideas of what could have happened here?

I don’t think these 2 issues are related because the oil slung at the front of the engine was dark and dirty, and the oil leaking from the pan (uniform leak around the edges) is golden, clean oil (almost no hours since changed).

Best to posts good photos of what you are seeing. Take off the belt guard, take more photos. Then clean everything spic & span and then monitor as you continue to use the boat…
