    We have a 1999 Bayliner 4087 with twin cummins 270 hp diesel engines, need to replace original tachometers but not sure what type ….Mag or otherwise they are stock.

    Welcome aboard:   I have a 1998 4087.   The only way is to replace with digital.  Check out aetnaengineering.com.   They are somewhat smaller in dia, but it is an easy install.   Go for four and you can use the wiring for the existing tacs as they are driven off the flywheel.
