Thanks Rob for the info on the ZF85. Is it a direct bolt on to replace the 80A and at about $5000 it might be easier than mucking around getting the old one out for repairs. Do Seaboard have them in stock.

Thanks Tony great advise I’ll do exactly that. Just out of interest would you know what would be a ball park time and cost to remove the transmission and replace the clutch?

Also looking closer at the test results they have entered the wrong gear box so may have given me incorrect results, Brett

The attached picture may also help to ā€œseeā€ how is all interacts. The fuse pointed to is a low current (under 5 amp) control fuse for the circuit. Pulling that will keep the unit off, and as noted, that circuit could easily be remoted to the dash.. If I really wanted grid heaters, I remove all on the ECM control features and unneeded wires, and just the the mag switches on a 60 second twist timer at the dash.. Tony Cummins Grid Heater Diagram

Thanks Tony, it make sense now I see that diagram, Brett

Thanks Rob, if I removed the fuse behind the aftercooler would that deactivate them? I’m just thinking if I every sold it to someone who lived in a colder climate they might need them working and it would be easy just to replace the fuse.

I see a spade type fuse there behind the aftercoolers. Is it the only one there? I just don’t want to pull the wrong one.
