Thanks for the quick response. No I have not tested it with a mechanical gauge yet. I assumed, probably incorrectly, that since the gauge was working after each oil change and lost pressure at the same number of hours, that it wasn’t the gauge. I’ll try to rustle up a gauge around here that I can use to test.

Just to report back on this. Changed the tensioner and that was the problem. New tensioner, no noise.

Thank you much for the quick reply. Some of these things seem intuitive, but it doesn’t always work out that way. I am grateful for experienced input.

Plumbing her up tomorrow and hopefully we will be ready to roll for the season.
