Dear people, Half a year ago my ZF 280 -1 clutch had an overhaul because it slipped when accelerating very quickly (port engine). Now he does this again after overhaul, because I very rarely accelerate quickly and usually have the engines set synchronously, I only notice this now. My question is could it be that the clutch plates are already worn out? Or could there be another reason for this? another oil (thicker or something) can solve this problem (I now use Yanmar sae 30 oil). Greetings Johan

Hi Tony, From the dashboard the pressure is around 22 or 23 bar, just like the starboard engine. I don’t know if this is also the case when I suddenly give full throttle, but with quiet use this remains constant.

Have you installed an accurate gauge ( 0-600 PSI), and tested for the proper oil pressure on the fwd clutch?
