My starboard smart craft display when turned on for my QSB 8.3 diesel request calibration ?
I followed the prompts and when complete I received a new message.
    The adaption process failed.
Check that the proper connectors are plugged into the proper levers
    Check for proper ERC type.

Could anyone let me know how I can trouble shoot the issue?

Not hijack the thread but. I have been told my smart craft v1 has done a similar thing. It has always had no major issues.

So I am not there and it was working when I last saw it..
It did the same as Steve posted. They then some how the got to calibrate but only the pt engine and it does not recognize the stb at all when the key is on. They say they have tried to reset sensor detection and do a factor reset with no luck. They must have got a partial factor reset as they are in Fahrenheit not celsius.

Power has been off to the ECM and smart craft for a few hours as well.

So other than they cant follow the calibration if there any other tips? They have the analogue displays so not all is lost.

Never seen that before… will it let you perform a factory reset?
