    6BTA 370hp M3, CPL1975.

Just noticed the rubber boots under the fuel solenoids on both engines have split. Is it necessary to replace these in a dry protected engine room? If yes, can the boot alone be sourced or am I up for a new solenoid? (If anyone has part numbers handy, IĀ“d appreciate hearing it.)

    many thanks

In case it helps someone else, I found replacement boots are in fact available for just $9: here’s the source I used

If you want the boots then look at vendors such as Blue Seas, Ā Cole Hersey along with many specialty wiring vendors Ā such as Ā GenuineDealz .com Ā and such. Ā  Ā Ā

Take apart the solenoids.. Clean all and lightly grease the plungers, etc etc.. “Split Boots” are not mission disabling, but binding linkage and rust is.. I have never seem a part number for a boot..Ā
