Replaced existing panels with two customer provided Cummins panels in a Fleming 55′ with two Cummins 480 CE.

The only thing changed was the panels, but for whatever reason, the data being sent to the panels glitches out…  It will come in for a bit, then disappear, then come in again, and disappear.

Under Data-link Info, it’s saying that 50% of the messages are bad.

Any idea what needs to be changed to get the engine data to display consistently, and reduce the bad messages?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Originals were Cummins, replacements are Cummins.  I was hoping to have an update by now, but the tech didn’t have the right computer to program them – sent them off via post, I will confirm resolution early next week!

Where exactly did the panels come from? Are they Cummins or SMX?

    Thanks Steve,

Checked all of the connections, but the panels kept doing the same thing.

After talking to a Cummins rep, we got hooked up with a technician who is going to be in the area this week who strongly believes the panels’ software is out of date and just needs the latest version.  Fingers crossed, that’s it and we’ll be back in business!

I’m not sure about the hull number, but yes it is a Burr Yacht’s boat!

    Jeff,

Kinda sounds like a loose connection somewhere……  You appear to be in luck as these are not Smartcrap displays signaling that the harnesses are much easier to deal with.  I would disconnect and reconnect the connector blocks involved and see if that fixes the data integrity issue.  I advised the very same course of action for the guy posting from the UK and experiencing angst with his DTS/Zeus electronic systems.

As a side note…..  I am a huge fan of the F55 and am absolutely surprised that they outfitted an F55 with a pair of 480CE’s………  What hull number F55 is that?  Is it a Burr Yachts boat?
