Headed to remove my turbo today. I am curious how much coolant I need to drain. Is it necessary to drain all the coolant? I have gathered it holds 6 gallons of coolant. curious if I can just drain a few gallons or if it all needs to come out. Thanks

Thanks guys, that fitting is actually 1/8 NPT if anyone is looking before hand to go get the hose barb.

there is a 1/4 inch brass or bronze plug on the bottom of the coolant tube below the exhaust manifold. remove the plug. I would suggest draining the entire 6 gal.

I did about 20L on a QSC the other day and it was about right.
I just went till the drum was full. I pulled a hose off and when it was below the turbo I knew I was ok.
