I am wanting to replace the raw water hose that connects the output side of the gear oil cooler to the heat exchanger on my 6bta 370 Diamonds cpl 2008. The existing hose is 1.75″ and was once clear with spiral wire. What hose type is best?

Clear hose with wire is novel in that application!
Wire not needed, itās a pressure hose, not likely to collapse.
Trident is a trusted name in marine hoses.
Call Seaboard parts.
“Best” could be somewhat qualitative because some think best value – best given cost vs. the best.
Reach out to Trident and some other vendors who sell Trident products to see what they say. Though they sell the products, you might get a consensus of best vs “all you need for your application is…”
Overall though, I’d go with what BlueByU rec’d.
Is this some sort of a custom install that you canāt replace with the OEM molded hose ?
Also….is spiral steel reinforcement really needed in this application ?

I would recommend Trident 250-100 Flex wet exhaust water hose.
You could also call Seaboard parts.
Hose is specified by ID (Inside diameter). Is your 1-3/4″ a ID or OD?
