    Hi Guys,
While doing some other work I noticed both my turbo housings are cracked, I am not sure if they leak yet but will do tomorrow.
So both are cracked in the same place, I am not sure if it is new or came with the engines 2nd hand as I have never taken the heat shield off and had a good look. Anyone seen this before?

Other than a new housing, would you drop the housing off the turbo and give it a weld ? Or just paint over it and see if it has movement?

    Thoughts ?

    thanks Luke

Is it possible your exhaust is unsupported and causing too much load? The crack goes right through a bolt hole. Maybe weight plus vibration is causing it.

    QSC–Cracked Turbo housing

Never seen one do this.. These are early engines based on what I see..

    Engine serial numbers?

    Total hours since new?

Curious—-Got some GPH numbers at 1900–2300 RPM when cruising?

Last time your aftercoolers were serviced on the bench per my protocol?

Got some pics of the rest of the engines?
