    1. Hey guys I picked up an old 6bta with “blow by”. Turns out cylinders 1 and 5 are out of round by .15mm. I’m planning to get a long block and swap the parts over but I think it’d be a fun winter project to rebuild this original block. Does anyone have any advice on boring out or sleeving an old block? Or is it not worth it and I should just send it in as a core? The last block I found was not eligible for core submission through sbmar, not sure if it was because it had sat outside for a long time or if it was because it was missing all of its best parts.  dakota

A proper engine shop can bore your block and use genuine Cummins oversize pistons–IMO, the right way to go  ( NOT sleeves)
