    I’m looking to install a simple low oil pressure switch as a redundant alarm on my port engine.  I did the same on my starboard engine in the side of the block in the area above the raw water pump – as shown in Tony’s Tips article.  I used the adapter to clear the block.  All good there.  

    My issue is accessing the spot on my port engine (outboard side of the engine) is pretty difficult.  I’m wondering if there’s another location I can use that’s on the inboard (right) side of the engine port engine?

    1/8″NPT pipe plug on Top of the oil cooler?
