I have a 341 meridian with dual 5.9 Cummins with vessel view and digital throttle control. Yesterday I lost throttle control on the port engine. It will shift into gear but will not throttle up. Only idle speed. Any suggestions?

    dts throttle control

    Tony,
I contacted Mercury Marine and they refered me to CC marine in Marina Del Ray to have a tech come out and do a diagnostic. Unfortunately CC marine will not come to Ventura. Can you suggest a tech?

    Thanks,

    Jon

This is a Corey thing..He’ll stop in when he catches his breath, but I believe YES is the answer..

But what’s the difference–It’s either now or later as if you don’t, you be at their mercy forever as issues will never go away or ever be supported in an acceptable fashion. It’s a sad situation.

Would’nt a conversion to J1939 require reflashing the ECU to a “non DTS” file?

    Tony,

Thanks so much for the quick reply and phone number. I am very interested in replacing the smart craft with you conversion kit. Would this be considered a DIY project or would I need to hire and electriction?

    Thanks again,

    Jon

Jon, the replacement is 100% DIY

Mercury Service to SmartCraft & DTS

You are now dealing with Mercury when it come to DTS.

Only way I know of for now is:

    Mercury Marine/Customer service
    1 (920) 929-5040

    Let hope they can help.

Long Term is to dump all that is part the the Mercury Electronics on your engines and move over the the parent electronics on the engine ———— SAE J1939
