    Hello Forum Members,

I cannot for the life of me locate a “low coolant sensor with wire” attached to the coolant tank on the new marine ReCon QSB 5.9 480 SN# 60703292 and Shop Order No: DR6587-RX

I’ve upgraded the OEM SmarctCraft electronic engine monitoring panels to SMX Double Panel displays with NEMA 2000 interface. A very nice display package.

    Here are some pictures.

Can anyone help locate the coolant sensor?…Or did Cummins do away with the sensor on my build ?

Or am I just plain blind ?

The generic Cummins QSB engine manual shows the location of the sensor but I can’t find the doggone thing.

    Thanks, Bill

    One man show

Just because the seller is a one man show, Is not an excuse to not answer simple questions.

The engine was bought “locally” from a thirty plus year very small volume Cummins Marine dealer.
Dealer service/help and response to questions has been dismal at best. The owner is a one man show.
$38,000 plus for the engine and ZF280A gear.

So the answer is NO…..no local help here !

    Thanks for your assiatnce Tony,

    Bill

    Bill,

1st————here’s a question for you…Don’t you think the person or company you bought the engine from should support things/question like this?

Yes., I will sort you out, but I want you to think about your question.. Afterall, I am 100% sure you invested around $30K into “that company” you bouught the engine from..
