My QSB coolers go to a radiator shop for pressure testing and cleaning, so I had always wondered how my heat exchanger for the Seakeeper Gyro heat exchanger was doing. I ended up buying a second heat exchanger that I put on, and will swap it out with the original every few years.

Overall, the tubes looked good, no blockage. I am going to cut new end cap gaskets and clean this one up. So my question, what would you suggest to clean the internals of the raw water tube bundle? Ā

    -I was thinking of CLR?Ā

    -CLR dilution?

-How long should the solution stay inside?

    Any other ideas welcome.

BTW, I realize I could have pulled the end caps and checked it, but there are other reasons why I bought a new one and they are not very $, well in boating terms that is.
