    Hi Fellas,

    just new to the site,

    I have fuel filtration as per Tony’s recommendation, FS19513 – FS1000 on engine fs1280.

is there a finer micron filter that is plug and play onto the existing 1280filter head spud threads ?

Is it necessary to go finer micron on that last chance filter?

i have had this filtration since 60 hours, 2010 with 1800hrs currently and she runs sweet as a nut, no smoke.

ive always wondered if having the bulk knock out, then finer fs1000 then a course fs1280, is the fs1280 catching anything.

    regards

    Paul

    Thanks for the reply Tony,

I thought as much, but I thought I,d check.

I’ll look into a cummins filter head if available to fit my engine. The way the USD is with GBP and postage makes it costly purchase from seaboard at the moment.

    thanks again

    Paul,

Unfortunately there is nothing available to replace the last change filter that is in the 2-mic range that would be “Plug & Play” with the factory head… But, rest assured the FS1000 is doing such a great jog that it is already feeding you engine clear fuel than the Ā FS1280 could deliver..

But with that said, if you are willing to change filter heads on the engine, then YES, you could use the came Final filter as the QSB, QSC & QSL use..If you are Hands-on, pretty easy to do.. We done this many times in place where you get “yuk fuel”. Remember, this only works well when the “last chance filter” is under pressure ( like yours is)..
