Hi:  I am about to do my every-4-years (350hrs) coolant flush & replace on my 6BTA5.9 370’s (cpl 1975).  This time, I want to take some of the removable coolant pipes and the heat exchanges back home to clean them internally and re-paint externally.  I’ll be away from the boat for 2 weeks mucking around with this.  Is it OK for the engines to sit that long with no coolant….or should I bung up where necessary and re-fill?  I’ll be flushing with RESTORE and replacing thermostats, per my standard protocol, when I return to the boat with the re-painted bits.

No issues as long as what residual that will be left sitting within is just the coolant.  Shove a rag in any open ports/hoses.
