I’ve got a boat I work on with cat 3116 twins. It’s a 36 riviera. The owner was working on it and had to call me in. They do most of there work but had to call me today. It’s been running really rougH after they changed the fuel filters. Seems one engine has a electric fuel pump and one doesn’t. Found this quite odd. The electric fuel pump was put had blown a fuse and when we changed it it was running perfect. Why would they put a electric fuel pump on? We might need to get one. It works but I’m thinking it will blow a fuse again. I didn’t get pictures but will post some tomorrow

This is the fuel pump. Looking for another one if anyone has seen it before

The priming pimp is part of the housing. The engine barely runs with the electric pump not running. I don’t see a external lift pump so maybe it’s a internal pump in the injection lump? This might have been a Cheaper fix. Just thinking though.

Perhaps the one engine is not equipped with the manual priming pump at the last chance filter?
