The joy of a lot of winter work is a lot of ancillary breakage. Engine was torn apart, new generator installed , new electronics wired and I’m chasing gremlins.
I am getting low coolant alarms with a full tank. i am 99% sure I have either a broken wire or crushed sensor, I can see it’s bent at its location at the bottom of the tank, I also have my doubts about the wire as it’s got a 180 degree bend right at the sensor lead.
I’ll order another but in the meantime- is there a way to temporarily cut the wire and short out the lead so I don’t have constant alarms popping up on both the Cummins display as well as multiple MFDs?
not happy to do it, but I don’t want to hear beep beep beep all weekend.
