Just pulled my starter and noticed the end of the gear is a little chewed up. I inspected the ring gear and it shows no sign of wear. Should I be concerned about this?

I assume the CTA is different? But I did a similar thing when I missed the spacer when swapping starter motors on a QSC.

I’d get the gear replaced and lube all up well when you reinstall.. A good starter/alternator shop can do it.. Maybe $80 parts & labor?
