I’m looking at removing the fuel cooler on my cummins. I was wondering if I need to do more than just connecting the supply and return direct to the injection pump , replace thd fuel cooler pipe with suitable hose and plugging the openings on the square block where they were connected?

You could pull the block and relocate the oil sender.
