I am a 2 year owner of a Little Harbor Whisper Jet 38 with the 370 hp 6BTA5.9M3 hooked up to Hamilton 273 jets via a Borg warner velvet drive Model # 10-18-002– I have replaced a couple of the engine vibration mounts with those installed upon purchase identified as follow — Barry 27655-1 Cummins 3349229. The engines run very smooth but there are a few mounts (including the new ones) with gaps between the rubber and metal casing of up to almost 1/4 inch — they are perfectly vertical — I am trying to avoid going to a more robust mount as I assume I would have to replace all 8 and am concerned about increased vibration. Do any of you have experience with what the correct mounts would be or are the existing the correct selection.
