2009 QSC 540 NMEA2000 gateway –> Garmin 8xxx

Hi and good day!

I am considering to buy a 2009 Carolina Classic with twin QSB 8.3 540 hp engines:<br />S/N 46817995 +  46818441<br />Boat has two VesselView displays and they seem to work as supposed, however boat and diesel inboards are new to me so I am not sure about if it’s working well. However, I guess they are original from 2008 when boat was built and probably will make problems sooner or later and also honestly I don’t like really the ergonomics and general aspect of them. As the engines are not the newest but working well I would like to have all important engine values in plain sight and my Garmin setup would do that.

But I would have a Engine Interface to bring the gauges on my Garmin 8nnn Series MFD’s and saw on the shop here that there is a NMEA2000 Engine Gateway available.

1° Would this work with my engines?<br />2° Would the Garmins show additional and important data other what VesselView show already?<br />3° Are newer VessleView displays compatible with my 2008 engines?
