Paul, Thanks for keeping this thread full circle and photos too.

Are you repairing the air heater circuit or just abandoning it. A lot has been posted on the inherent problems with the setup and options to fully abandon or manually control. Based on your location my opinion is to remove it all, and now is clearly the time.
