      July 21, 2017 at 7:11 am I just reinstalled my port engine after de rusting and new paint. (370 B 5.9 M3). ZF 220A transmission)). Re connected the DC wiring. I have 12 v at the starter, but the starter won’t engage when the key is turned. No noise, no clicking, silence. All the gauges come up in the key on position, voltage, fuel etc. Thinking I am missing a connection somewhere. Not sure if 220A’s have a safety switch that needs to be connected. I plan to …

      July 18, 2017 at 5:05 pm 44′ Tollycraft. We removed the original BTA5.9 M2 engines and replaced with two QSB5.9 380 HO, ZF gears, and Smartcraft instruments. We reused the ZF/Mathers controls and added a 7″ display on the flybridge and two 4″ displays at the lower station.       July 24, 2017 at 10:49 am Unless you have already eliminated this as a potential problem, I would recommend trying to disconect the Balmar controller on the alternator to see if that makes the problem go away.
