    Thanks Brad. I do an all fresh water flush with seacock closed. I’m almost due for external zincs so when I do that I’ll inspect the engine pencils to see how they’ve faired in a fresh water environment.

    Great info as usual Tony. The system is definitely buried deep. I may have to save that challenge for a project next Winter. The only time I seem to notice any vapor in the engine room is if the engine has been idling for a while. I do run the engine room blowers as soon as we pull into our slip to help cool things down and it does help remove any built up blowby smell.

    Thanks Rob. My related issue is the the close proximity of the short vertical coolant hose that’s adjacent to the end cap screw head. Is the screw short enough to loosen the cap without running into the hose?
