Hi Everyone – Last summer I found out my after coolers were shot, and I replaced them with ones from the new supplier for Cummins, Mota. I pressure tested when I installed on the waterside to 25 lbs PSI with air, and everything held great for hours. I ran them as usual throughout the summer and into the fall, and they’ve only ever been in fresh water.

Just today, I took the boat out for a spin to keep the cobwebs off and after my run, went down to the engine room and saw about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water that came from the condensation plug from each of the aftercoolers. Its 44 degrees out, but I’ve never seen that amount of water come from the drain plug. Is this normal? Should I be worried about a gasket failing, and/or water getting through to the air side?

I’m probably being paranoid that I did something wrong with my install, but figured asking the forum would be prudent.

    Thanks!

Yes, 100% fresh water.I also keep the wolverine pan heaters  on 24/7 incase that matters.

Based on  the article, sounds like nothing to worry about then. It was just the right conditions for a TON of water in the AC’s air side. Figured since it was the same in both, its probably nothing to worry about.

Should I do anything to get the remaining water out, or just leave them be?

Are you a 100% fresh water boat?
