To compliment our Omax waterjet we now stock 316SS in everything from 14 gauge sheet metal to 3/4″ Plate. If you need a custom exhaust flange or other similar shape you can place an order here online and we can usually ship within just a few days. Strongly recommended that you send a drawing before making a purchase to: Justin@sbmar.com If your local shop is busy, or just doesn’t offer waterjet services, this can be a good solution. Water Jet cutting is relatively fast and simple compared with traditional machining. You can expect tolerances well within 0.010″ with some taper to the cut, the taper increases slightly with thickness. Water jets do cut a bit slower than a CNC plasma cutter, and they cost more to run, but the cleanliness, minimal taper, and dimensional tolerance is unmatched. A good middle ground between plasma and CNC mill, perfect for marine exhaust flanges.
