I have a 2017 boat I purchased last year with twin Zeus pods. I’m in fresh water, and the previous owner was also fresh water. The pods work great, but on both pods the Parker hydraulic pumps have some pretty nasty looking surface corrosion (see pictures). The rest of the pods surface seem fine. Wondering what could be going on here.

    Thanks,

    Scott

    Corrosion Guard

And then spray with Mercury Corrosion Guard and repeat annually (as per the maintenance manual). This was done on mine from new and after nine years and they are still as good as new (well they were when I sold the boat last month).

Lousy paint job over cast/ductile iron castings, high humidity environment ?.. Wire brush all with a SS bristle brush, mask neatly and use a good brush alkyd old fashion enamel………………………
