I have a 2008 Sea Ray with two QSC 8.3 engines with about 1000 hrs. My starboard engine has been spitting oil out of the Walker Airsep vacuum regulators misting port on occasion. Probably 3 times over the last 300 hrs. I’ll clean up the mess (see picture attached) and it will not happen for another 100 hrs. Switched regulators from engine to engine and the issue stayed on the starboard engine. Also replaced all Walker internal and external filters. Fresh water boat. Has anyone experiencd this? If so, please let me know of your corrective actions. Thank you very much.

    Valve Cover Breather box

Look at the picture.. Follow the RED line to see where is goes–remove it and blow it out -need to be sure it has nothing in it From the factory, I have had some of these lines capped–Caused major issues on seatrials until I figured out what was going on Next would be talk the breather box off, talk it apart and clean it..

Chances are this is your issue. Your Vacuum Regulator needs a house cleaning or an internal wash out or maybe the vent line from the valve cover box on the valve cover needs to be looked at.Ā  I will try and find a picture of what I am talking about. A typical Cummins Tech cannot help this other than to sell you something that you do not needĀ  Ā

Or you can fix it as a DIY project Look at the pictures. Take it apart , clean it out and start fresh.. Chip out the EPOXY on the bottom to screw it off .Ā

Walker does not make it easy, but it is very doable.. Ā  You have to look close at the tabs on the bottom They use a clear epoxy to lock it shut. This DIY project will saves you 100ā€™s & 100ā€™s of bucks over the time you own the boat

I can & will sort you out, but 1st you are going to have to show me more.. Lift your hatch or what ever–I want to see your entire engine from 2 or 3 perspectivesĀ  just like I see it here..

    All clear & in-focus pics Ā  Ā  Tony
