    6CTA.

OP Gauge indicates 16 psi @ cold idle.

Replaced the sender = no change.

Replaced OP Gauge = no change.

Installed mechanical OP Gauge directly into oil filter housing port, (removed 1/8 NPT pipe plug, screw in the gauge), it indicates 60 psi @cold idle.

I think the mechanical gauge reading is good ?, assuming that the port is a valid place to connect it ???

Is it possible for the Cummins sonalert circuit board to effect the OP Gauge reading.???

The Volt meter on this engine indicates about 1V less than my meter reads on the terminals as well, perhaps related???

Yes, the filter head is a good location. To be thorough, did you secure the gauge in place and monitor the pressure at different rpms once the engine comes up to full temp?

No, the circuit board will NOT effect your instrument readings. It is for alarm/buzzer only.

Sounds like losing some voltage from the engine to the helm. Of course bad grounds can do this but another culprit is this 10amp engine mounted circuit breaker. Check it out including the ring terminals underneath it.
