SMX is our LOGO. “SEAMAX” belongs to another company and has been used at times, or by others to describe our pump or copies of the pump we developed in conjunction with Seafirst in S. Korea. My ideas, their grunt work…. We have about 5000 units in the field now and they still make them (Casting, shaft, cam, back plate, etc etc) today for us. Their main business these days is outboard Steering systems. Teleflex is the market they go after.

There are various copies of our pump out there, notably one heavily marketed by DongJin that has used the word SEAMAX. I have also seen some other copies show up over the years and do not know where they came from..

About 12 years ago when I thought I would try marketing the Multi-Stage Fuel system I had been developing over the previous 10 yrs, I used the name SEAMAX, but was slapped by the trademark owners. They were very polite about is, so we just dropped it about that time.

A QSB would use our SMX QSB Pump
