I have older Cummins 6BTA5.9M, 250HP, CPL 953 engines. I need to replace the raw water pump. Couple questions:

1. Can I replace the pump or do I have to replace the pump and drive gear?
2. What model pump should I be using. Not sure what is in there now but I know I use the 15000K impellers

CPL953 = Sherwood GC1 pump = 15000 impeller=1.5″ ports in & out
