My boat has been on the hard for 6 months and will be splashed in late May. I have a pair of QSB 6.7 380 units. Should I prime the oil system before first start? If so, what are the best ways? Common rail units don’t have fuel shutoff solenoids. Is there a way to disable the fuel system so I can simply turn the engines over for a period of time? Or will I need to use a Melling pressurized oil tank? What is the best location to access the main oil galley? Oil pressure sender? Other? If I use the tank method, is there a way to know oil has reached all parts of the engine?

Just start the engine. Not to worry.
