    Good morning all,

My 2012 Sea Ray is powered by twin QSB5.9 480 HP mated with Zeus 3000 pods. Just recently replaced transmission oil and steering fluid coolers due to their age, two per pod. The QSB maintenance manual calls for the gear lube cooler flush, but I can’t seem to locate one. Is it possible that the pods don’t have one?

    Many thanks,

    Yury

Correct. The gear oil is mostly in the leg (underwater part) and hence is cooled by the surrounding water.
I presume the QSB manual is generic in that it assumes the engine is connected to a shaft drive gear transmission which would have an oil cooler.
