I’d like to repair anything that might look suspicious. Having said that I definitely want to order the kit that’s on sale for the coolers. Are they all the same for the 6cta 8.3s. Do I need to pull the pull cover to see what belts I need. This is a 2004 with about 1500 hrs.
Pic number 1. Is my engine batts. On the right is the strb engine with a wire from my isolation box so that when the engine is charged it charges the house. In pic two And a wire from the three phase charger.
Batt on left is port engine batt.
    3 is my batt switches.
    4 is my galvanic isolator.
5 is house batteries an gen batt
6 an 7 are my inverter batteries in two separate boxes

Nothing jumping out at me as to what I can see on the helm that might be an alarm panel for your exhaust temp switch. Need to trigger it and see what it is connected to.

Nice anchor, how do you like the Rocna – heard good things about them but have no first hand knowledge. I’ve used a Manson and that was excellent and similar in design.

I noticed that port a/c was much browner than the stbd, that’s why I asked – What is your wide open throttle fully loaded? and your history with the boat? This could be due to a prior owner having her overpropped and unmatched props or this could be a current issue you need to deal with…

    Aftercooler

My port cooler is a lot more brown then the strb. What could that mean.

Thanks for starting off with a big bunch of pictures – that is VERY VERY helpful and much appreciated. You’ve come for comments and suggestions and photos allow that to happen effectively & efficiently for all involved.

Overall a busy engine room but nice and clean and workable. She’s been well cared for by prior owner(s).

Give us the details on the boat – year, make model, dimensions, etc. And your history with her.

We’ll all continue to look these over with time but here’s a few initial responses:

The wires on your exhaust mixer would goto an an alarm buzzer or light or combo of both. It’s a high temp exhaust alarm incase your seawater flow is lost and the exhaust temp goes up to the switch setpoint (~160degF, maybe a tad higher). How about a bunch of pictures of your helm? You can short the wires (ground out) and see what it triggers.. They are normally open switches so shorting the leads simulates the temperature rising and the switch closing.

As to the the DVM get one for each battery or battery bank. We have several options of faceplates now or you can order the individual blank ones and label them yourself.

What is your wide open throttle fully loaded? The “C” engines do brown the compressor housing and air piping more than the “B” engines but your is quite dark and well into the aftercooler….

Stabilizer care and hynautic fluid and pressure.

I also don’t know anything about stabilizers. Any help on maintaining them or dangers of them If you notice the one stabilizer gage has a broken needle. The previous owner said he ran them to keep them operating. Also the hynautic steering can I don’t remember how much pressure they’re supposed to have. There must be one for shifting also I haven’t noticed it yet.

    Stabilizer

1 stabilizer and a fluid box in support of not sure yet what goes in or how much
The door goes to the back of washer an dryer
2 hot water tank and expansion tank
3 front port side of strb engine
    4 engine info
    5 top of strb
    6 center isle
7 port side of port engine. Looks like something is leaking.
8 possible belt size on engine and the hydraulic pump.
I’d also like to get the digital meters you recommended. Which should I get I’m not sure if I should get three with a panel to mount them in. I would like recommendations on the cooler kit I need. Do you see anything in the hoses. The wires on the exhaust I don’t where they go I haven’t found any gauges other then the normal volt meter temp, oil pressure.
Any other things you would recommend to add. I tell my grandkids im as broke as a bag of glass. But I can’t afford to have another boat burn up.
