I Performed an oil change on QSB 5.9 engines 10 days ago. The boat is new to me since July. The oil sample were no longer available the day I went to do the service so I have dated oil in my garage. I think a bench mark is important but is it too late to get a meaningful analysis at this late date?

IMO just send it in as-is but you can check with the labs on your concerns prior to sending it in.

    Thanks Rob

Should I use a mixer to get a complete suspension? One motor would lose a very small amount of coolant so I was curious if the oil sample would tell me if it made its way to the crankcase. I thought these were time sensitive

    ā€œMeaningfulā€ Oil Sample..

Is your question whether or not the dated oil can still be properly analyzed? Should be fineā€¦ How old is it?

As to whether or not your oil sample will prove ā€œmeaningfulā€…. That is the magic question…
