On my early (2005) QSB 380: I think I need New mounting bracket: Cummins Marine Alternator 4? J180 Support BracketNew wiring harness: Cummins 4920029 Marine 24SI 28SI Alternator Wire HarnessAnd the 24si Delco alternator. If this is correct, do I need a different belt? IĀ“ve read the belt does not need to be changed, but maybe it does. Thanks for any help on this–

Thanks Tony. I’ll change the belt. And do I need the “Cummins Marine QSB 5.9 Alternator Support Swing Arm (3971982) as well?” Ā  (I must have all the parts needed when I travel to the boat to do the work).

Done right,Ā  you will need a different belt. Plenty of pics on the web site in “Tony’s Tips”
