Cummins 6bta m3  Alternator failed so new one installed and voltage was erratic and while cruising after full warm up the green pre heat light would flash and voltage would drop so I’m guessing a temp sensor or solenoid is bad! I would love to by pass the system but when I pulled the fuse  the green light pre heat stays on all the time Any thoughts? I’ve read all I can find but no mention of the light on all the time

I see that the key also has a 10 amp fuse

Can you tell me we’re to look for the fuse that comes off the ignition switch

I’ve already pulled the ecm fuse on the engine block but looking for the otherGROUND

Bayliner?  Not sure where exactly they are wiring in that light. One of the mag switches? As Tony said, pull the system. Keep us posted on where you end up.

Why not just remove the grid heater?  Very problematic.
