Picture enclosed shows my fuel line to my fuel cooler. Not sure if the cracking on the rubber is crucial for these fuel lines. Not sure how these fuel lines are constructed. If it was a regular hose I would replace it.If the fuel line should be replaced I would think about removing the fuel cooler as I think the fuel lines are expensive.Any input appreciated. Bill

Lose the cooler and the fuel block and you will have eliminated several potential leak points and hoses. Itā€™s a fairly simple project. I have done this a year ago on one engine and and spent following season monitoring and comparing the engine with cooler vs engine w/o cooler. Fuel on non cooled side runs only 4-5 degrees higher. And that is after 6+ hours running.
Not to mention easier impeller changes.
I will be removing the other side.

Back to your 1st question, cracked fuel lines should be replaced, period.
