I’m looking to order a couple of CCV kits for my 6bta 370(s) and replace the Walkers. My port engine seems to have some blow-by and I would like to mitigate. The reason I believe there is blow-by, is a little oil comes out of the dipstick and the back valve covers leak (a little), even after changing the gaskets.

    Questions:

    1. Is there a plug, or how to plug the timing cover (since it will move to the valve cover).
    2. Is it a pain to add oil after I switch from timing cover to valve cover?

I’m going to take overhead measurements today.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Decided to go with valve cover install, so I don’t have to move oil filter (starboard) and want the option of blow-by extension for my port engine in the future. I also want them to look the same.

    Thanks for your help!

Looks like I will need to find a creative place for the oil filter on Starboard. Ports looks straightforward. What the best way to plug up the old hole after I move to the timing case?

Thanks Tony, I will get a shot of them tomorrow evening. I remember there being a metal cover that might pop off.

Your Airsep is connected like they all are on the mechanical B’s, and it is the worst of the worst as it’s basic design.. Basically a “sink trap loop” to feed blow-by to the air intake. ..Crazy design.

Now, tell me why you cannot go with a Timing Case EV system? Let me SEE the front of your engines..

    Got pictures

It looks like my setup is a little different? My Airsep connects to the block right behind the aftercooler.

Pictures of the current install showing all is what I need to help..

What is the reason you cannot go with the timing cover EV?

Just an FYI………………..All engines have “some blow-by”.. new, used, whatever,

It comes down to how much and the best way to contain or mitigate it..
