Newly acquired QSC 540’s in a Mikelson 43. We moved the boat from Long Beach to San Diego over the weekend. Boat ran great. Only issue we noticed was some steam in the port exhaust. Boat has underwater exhaust. Temps were fine on both sides ranging from 174-177 and coolant level remained static.

A few things that need to be done to get her to Seaboard specs but looking to figure out the steam issue first.

I figured I would start at the impeller and work downstream. Open to ideas if anyone has had a similar issue.

    Thanks

    Mike

yup. I have my work to do. I will do some testing and report back. New boat has been great. Just need to get a delta on all the systems. Thanks Rob. Mike

    No more Tiara Mike?

I would like to blame it on atmospheric conditions but with P&S exhausts and only the P side steaming it could very well be a seawater flow issue. You can so a sea trial and shoot the wet exhaust with an IR gun and compare P to S and the same points downstream in the system. There will be some “iffyness” to this method of diagnosis but it could prove helpful if there is a noticeable delta.. New to you boat means the seawater sides need to be gone through anyway.
