Cummins B series lift pump

Hi

I have a 330B with the P7100 injection pump.

My current lift pump leaks at the plunger shaft when used. Is the pump rebuildable or do I just need to pony up for the new one? Many thanks!

Lastly, if the lift pump leaks diesel when used, could it suck air when running under load? I’ve had an air problem for a few years (Engine stumbles when throttled up after idling for long periods) and wonder if this is the cause.
