Cummins 6BTA-315-2800 and 6BTA5.9MC common parts

I have the opportunity to buy parts off of a 2012 6BTA-315 engine, I’m thinking: Turbo Charger, After Cooler, Fuel Pump and Injector Pump, Alternator, Fuel Injectors…etc., Are the parts compatible with the 6BTA5.9 M-3 engine model…?

You decide what all you want to do and how deep you want to look/rebuild.. All is simple other that the Injection pump–When we send out a good working pump like yours to a good shop, it’s real easy to spend $3000- 3500 to have it gone thru / made as new, and “preserved” and shipped back to us.. New they are worth 5000-6500 if you can even  get one. 

 What overall shape was the engine in the parts came from?

The aftercooler may or may not even be “serviceable”??

Where to have parts overhauled/rebuilt

Now that I have the 6BTA 5.9 Bosch Fuel Injection Pump, SMX water pump, After Cooler, Holset Turbocharger, where should I send them to be overhauled/remanufactured and preserved for future use…?

I stand corrected–They were still building the last of the mechanical 5.9’s B’s  in early 2004——–  As to you real question, yes, many/most of the parts would be the same from a later 315/330/355/370 RECON.

1………Post serial numbers of both or CPL’s

2——No 6BTA’s of any type were made after 2002-2003-ish–Their were RECONS, yes, but the spec they came from was pre-2002
