    Gidday,
Gotta say how great this site is. Full of useful info.
Just picked my dream boat after too many years of searching and procrastinating….. and now it begins.
Would anybody know what the circuit breaker that is mounted on the lifting lug, actually does and what would trip it out.
Both engines suddenly shut down and we lost all power to the ignition, as well as respect from the better half. After searching we found the circuit breakers and reset them and all is good.
Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    Patto

    No fire suppression installed mate
I think it may be a short in a wire or a faulty breaker
    Thanks for your input
    Cheers

Patti – Do you have a Fireboy or similar fire extinguishing system installed? I did and the black box failed causing engine shutdown and the red button circuit breaker trip. I removed and now the Capt decides when to shut the engine down.

    Just a thought.

Wiring diagrams are on this web site..Find them and STUDY

Circuit breaker does???? It protects the LIVE POSITIVE RED 12VDC wire going up to the dash –That is the power to run the instruments, and ign to make the engine run, make the started engage, etc etc etc.

Make this link handy and learn to use a key word or two w/ ” ctrl f ”
