Does anyone know what the acceptable upper limit is for EGT reading on the 300hp B series engine?  The probe is in the cummins exhaust elbow between the turbo exit and seawater injection. Engine topped out today at 2850 and had pyro readings of 800 and 850 while running at 2350 RPM.  During yesterdays trip I noticed the one engine crept to around 875 while climbing swells.  It seemed to be the same on way out (loaded) and on way in (minus 140 gal of fuel).  So I am assuming any variation im noticing is due to fluctuation in ambient conditions.

just to add, both motors were producing low boost 8 & 9 lbs.  Coolant temps were 165 and 170.
