I’m going to change the fuel filter on my 6CTAs, and I’m not quite clear on the procedure. I know I need to fill the filter with clean fuel before installing, but I’m not clear on what I need to do with the manual pump after the filter is installed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Scott

You can prefill the filter with clean fuel but in doing so do not pour any fuel into the center hole, fill the filter slowly using the small holes around the perimeter of the filter. This is normal path of the fuel so that it gets filtered before heading off to your injection pump.

You can then pump the manual primer until you hear it squeak.
