6bt 5.9 180 HP rating, i guess first gen

Hi there, as you know, i have 2 6bt cummins engines in my trawler. they are rated with 180 HP. I got aware, that i have a lot of particles in my fuel tanks as my fuel filters get cloaked up after 16 hours operation. Now i want to install a proper fuel filter system with water seperation. What would be the best model for me? It is only a leisure ship but i want it to be reliable. both engines take fuel from two combined tanks. So i wonder if i need to have one setup or two setups of filters and also which type of filter i should use in regards of micron.

Dear Rob, i have no filters besides the on engine filters. and they are the standard cummins filter. i will get the details tomorrow when i am back at the boat.

It is important to know what model primary (off-engine) filter setup and micron are you running now that you are only getting 16 hours.
